LAPARKAN is an established, international leading logistics organization receiving resumes from experienced candidates for the following position:



Primary responsibilities include comprehensive sales and new business development, networking and customer service to Laparkan customers for all LPK services in the (SER) South East Region. Attending events (Caribbean functions) on behalf of the company when necessary, maintaining relationships with new and existing Freight Brokers, servicing Laparkan destination markets (Caribbean outlets). Assist with gathering market intelligence, developing marketing plans, and executing those plans.

Requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • · Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from various media (newspapers), business directories, ports, network offices, industry ads, trade magazines, and other sources.
  • · Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit business, or talk to customers on sales floors or by phone (telemarketing).
  • · Display information on services, using brochures and flyers, etc., and emphasizes salable features.
  • · Follow on leads from referrals and downline stations to secure business.
  • · Service accounts of existing customers, ensuring total customer satisfaction. Follow up on service challenges to ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • · Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained. Maintain intricate knowledge of all rates, tariffs, etc. for all Laparkan services, including keeping up with daily changes.
  • · Maintain appropriate feedback process with all Laparkan divisions relating to sales leads and special shipping instructions.
  • · Prepare sales and activity reports for management in accordance with company policy and format.
  • · Perform inside sales activities when necessary.
  • · Follow marketing plans, as developed.
  • · Visit Freight Brokers throughout the Southeast Region, as assigned and acquired.
  • · Network and perform “grass roots” marketing throughout target (Caribbean) communities in the Southeast Region.
  • · Meet with Laparkan management regularly to review Personal Effects and other strategies and performance.
  • · Assist with the advertising and promotion of Laparkan in different Medias such as radio programs, cultural events, etc.
  • · Assist with the creation and development of advertising materials.
  • · Prepare a monthly sales report, weekly pre-plan report, and weekly summary report for management; in accordance with Company policy and format.
  • · Perform any other duties as necessary to ensure the smooth functioning of the Department and Office.
